   On a gloomy day when even the die-hard discount golf clubs bowlers at Pretoria Country Club gave up and took cover from the rain, Branden Grace looked for the silver lining and found it to take the titleist 2010 ap2 irons lead in the first round of the Vodacom Championship. 
Late in the afternoon, Grace stepped callaway x-22 irons into the score recording area with an eight-under-par 64 that overtook the lead shared by Thomas Aiken, Hennie Otto and Jbe Kruger. 
Aiken and Otto had led for most of the taylormade r9 460 driver day until they were joined on seven-under by Jbe Kruger and then overtaken by Grace. 
"I felt confident on the range before the round taylormade r7 cgb max irons and played really solid out there," Grace said after posting seven birdies, an eagle and only one bogey, he result of wrong club selection for his approach to the 13th green.
